Mike McGowan - Dave's Flowers your Florist in Orange County

Mike McGowan, owner of Dave’s Flowers in Westminster but serving all of Orange County, California, backed his way in to the flower business with help from his wife! She started working at Flower’s by Ceena when she was 17 and loved creating beautiful flower arrangements that made brides happy. She vowed to get in to the florist business for herself one day. She ended up leaving after 5 years but mentioned to the owner of the shop that if she was ever interested in selling to give her a call. She moved on to managing a 1,000 person apartment complex which, not surprisingly, has its drawbacks. Lo and behold the owner of Flowers by Ceena decided to retire and gave her a call. They purchased the shop and have been in business at that location, in Garden Grove, since 2001. Since then she has worked hard to cultivate her role as an exclusive vendor for Disneyland providing flowers for weddings there as well as doing the draping, linens and seating upgrades. She’s excellent at what she does and knows all aspects of the wedding florist business.

Meanwhile Mike has been working at American Greetings rising up in the organization when a surprise layoff came in 2007. A short stint working at Flowers by Ceena showed them that Mike needed his own shop to manage! They found and purchased Dave’s Flowers at 6332 Westminster Blvd. in Westminster and happily provide fresh, beautiful arrangements for weddings, weekly flower customers, quinceaneras and any occasion where fresh, beautiful flowers are appreciated!

Dave’s Flowers in Westminster has a talented staff of floral designers. They can get tropical and most other type of flowers all year around while peonies have a definite season. They deliver as far as Placentia and Fullerton on the North end of Orange County to Laguna Niguel and Laguna Hills on the South end of Orange County.
