Sean told us about the tools that he uses to help local companies succeed online. They were the following:
Google Analytics: this gets installed in to every new site that Open Interactive builds. It allows for the gathering for analysis of search data. By analyzing the results Open Interactive can then advise online marketing strategies that match the needs of potential clients to what is offered in the web site itself. This can help to increase search traffic.
Wordstream: is a tool that gathers the keyword terms that people actually use to get to a given web site. It the offers suggestions of its own from a pool of 1 trillion keywords. Keywords are then grouped using a semantic algorithm so that they produce tightly focused AdGroups that have a higher quality score, lower cost per click and a greater likelihood of converting into a sale.
Google AdWords: is the #1 pay per click marketing tool and allows you to have your site appear next to the search results that your site does not yet rank well for thus broadening your ability to reach potential customers.
Call Tracking: is a new offering that brings it all together. By using individual 800 numbers both organic search results and AdWords campaigns can be tracked so that their return on investment can be judged and adjustments made or new directions pursued. The calls are recorded and can be listened back to in order to gather sales training information or ideas for new marketing directions and opportunities.
